This is a request for everyone to read the newly revised rules carefully. We have a new no spawn camping rule, some rules have been merged, and others reworded.

NEW RULE!

No Spawn Camping!!! Get the fuck out of spawn, the battle is out there, not in here! If you shoot someone on your way out of spawn, or running towards it due to a flag/capture nearby then you're cool, but if you are unfairly killing others from inside/outside spawn, you will be kicked/banned. The following are considered acts of Spawn Camping:

• Setting up directly outside the enemy spawn or inside your own spawn area.
• Deliberate repetitive shots into or out of spawn
• Throwing nades into spawn or hiding in your spawn area throwing them out
• Using spawn as a shield (running out shooting then running back in)
• Spawn reloading (Re-spawning after throwing your nades and/or firing your weapon)
• The only exception to this rule is when a flag/capture is located directly inside the spawn area, spawn reloading is never allowed

All's fair after round is over, right???? It's too much FUN!!!!! :dance:

lol grimmy, as stated before, no slapping yourself into spawns at end of the round. remember the main reason we lost the slap function was due to spamming of the command in console!

As long as you're not flying into the spawn by slapping yourself in there, then yes during the bonus round you can kill them all. That's not spawn camping, that's murder... No rules against virtual murder here.

So what I'm getting from this new rule is that it's OK to camp outside a spawn area to defend a flag, am I getting it right?

You may only "Spawn Camp" to defend/capture a flag located directly "INSIDE" the spawn area. "dod_orange_fight_arena" is a good example of a map where this would be allowed.

And it's technically always OK to camp "OUTSIDE" a spawn area to "DEFEND" a flag. The rule is against spawn camping, not camping in general.

I'm not sure which one of the two you were getting at, hope that helps.

Ok. Thanks for clearing that out. One of the Blitz member warned me not to camp their spawn area, but I'm just defending a flag /evil

Every admin needs to read this thread, or else many will be booted/banned again. /sad

i guss it is because u were set up facing the spawn and firing into spawn while they are running out. don't shoot them while they ran up the sandbags. shoot them after they pass sandbags. well if u see some one aim at u, then i will shot that guy first. in fact i have sniped many snipers when they are trying sniping from spawn.
