I will make a Ninja out of you yet!

For anyone interested in changing the stock settings for dods to tighten things up so you don't play like a piece of jello
i a am not a expert or anything, just some things to help people out.
resolution of your monitor is up to you, but i play in2560X1080(used to have lowest setting here my bad), it's because my 2080 ti can't handle it lol, lag from the vid card actually, little bit more here and there all add up. combined with mouse lag, net lag, game lag, human lag ect, ect
mouse is a mix of DPI, polling rate, software acceleration(windows and dods) polling rate is the times per second your mouse reading at, faster is better. less software acceleration the better, you want your mouse to do the heavy lifting.
you will have to turn down the windows and dods mouse settings to where it feels good for you but is accurate.
in windows mine is set to 1,
game: mouse filter is off,
sensitivity 1.02
acc 1.01
raw input
mouse is lagitech G700s DPI 8500, polling rate 1000, windows sensitivity 1

the commands will help with server/connection side of things. you want take as much lag out as possible, mouse, server, everything. enter them into ~ or cmd
if i told you a number too high like 100, the server will take the max value. might be 66 or 300000.

these you enter one time
cl_cmdrate "100"
cl_updaterate "100"
cl_interp_ratio "1"
cl_interp "0"
rate "100000"

ERVERY TIME I ENTER THE SERVER !!!! cl_interp .020 (only applies if you don't use the cfg, if you do then you don't have to worry about it)
i always have stats running
I can also make a cfg file available for anyone who wants it so it's fair for everyone. same one i use and several other people use.
link to a dated but still good steam page

I made an edit here May 21 2021 as it turns out i have never put this .cfg file in the right location on my computer ever because i am an idiot. Here is a link on how to do it correctly, just be warned you will have to redo all your control settings and i think the music dies, have not played a game yet. this is one of Attrition's files, link to do it right
if you would like the audio to work open the cfg file in notepad , scroll almost to the bottom to the sound section and change the bottom 4 things that say 0 to 1, save the cfg and rename it to config , you should also move your original cfg file to a different location. You need to have THIS cfg at the location in the link below in place of your old cfg file of the same name that you moved/backed up.

i have a made the .cfg file viewable and downloadable through google drive

should be open to all, hope this helps!!
