Lost with Win 7 and my headset

Post by CMDRRABB »

Okay...The old headset worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. Thought it might be drivers or worse the headset. All the drivers were up to date and I could hear but not talk with the headset. I had an usb connection adapter for the 3.5 jacks for the headset, that worked ..no problem. The usb cracked and I plugged into the 3.5 jacks, however, the mic jack is not reconized, and the sound goes thru the speakers instead of the headset. Bought a new headset, thinking the mic was fried, not the case. The same problem exists. Tired Microsofts Win 7 forum and found alot of problems like mine, but all using different computers, none a Fujistu Lifebook n6410. So, if anyone out there has any ideas could you please send them towards me. Thanks.

Try right clicking the speaker icon in your systray. Then click recording devices and select what you are using. Do the same for the microphone. Win7 for some reason doesn't auto change it. Let me know if that doesn't work and I will research it further.

Well now I've lost all sound from headset and computer. Mic shows not plugged in. When the 3.5 mm jack box opens, it shows the dot as a solid black, used to be open and green showing inside dot. ?
