I'VE BEEN POSTING UPDATES TO THIS POST ALL THROUGHOUT THIS THREAD.

September 22, 2005: this is the date I uploaded the first blitz motd to the world on Deviant Art. It was approximately a week before DoD:s came out. Initially the blitz server was called maxX's server and was hosted by Jolt Servers. Immediately the server was full all the time because I made sure I was hosting one of the first servers to go online.
After a day of DoD:s being out I changed the server to BLITZKRIEG WHORES 18+ when I gained FTP access. At this point in time no custom maps had been made for DoD:s yet. Some of the first blitz admins were Bunneh, Mahdi, Schultz (dirt nap), Pogue Mahone, Sweep the leg Johnny!, Chesty la Rue and *nix, Felcaster, Church, and 9.MM.
The server was then upgraded to 32 player slot from a 24 one. When custom maps were first starting to arrive we added Hypr to the team (the maker of dod_castle_b5). At this point I ended up opening a second blitz server, but it was hard to keep it full all the time like our main server. This ended up dividing the clan and made the game not as enjoyable for me, so I shut down our second server after a month or so.
Some time in 2006 Jolt Servers then became completely unreliable and blitz had died for several months, spawning the birth of a new clan called Hogan's Hoes (=HH=). This clan was made up mostly of blitz orphans and was run by Hogan. About 6 months had passed and I decided to run blitz again, this time with Nuclear Fallout as our host.
In October 2007 blitz took charge of being an online voice of fairness against the abusive tactices the Q clan were doing to steal all of the DoD:s players. Read more about it in these threads I made here:

This actually strengthened the core DoD:s servers into becoming allies, starting the great friendship with the BR clan that lasted quite some time.
In November 2007 blitz was ranked #1 in the world according to gametracker.com, based on server population. This was entirely with the help of our players and admins, because we ran no bots and had honor in our server, nor did we run redirect servers.
Late 2007 is also when I first started going to college - signaling the beginning of the end of me leading blitz. In 2008 I handed the server over to Hoju, who at the time had time to be the leader. I was always uber busy and was bad at communication with her, so DeUltimaPunisher and Tommy2Fingers helped her out with the technical side of the clan. Eventually she handed the clan over to them!
Maybe Punisher can add more to the history since then; Kurt feel free to edit this post to add your input!

With the upcoming game Day of Defeat: source next week, i'm starting on the website now. I'm going to be getting a 24+ pub and i'm working on all of the designs.
