But they got pulled.
I find that if I like a show it seems to be cancelled. If a show doesn't have high ratings right off the bat then they get pulled. I remember when tv stations would hold onto a show for at least 2 years before pulling them. Sometimes it takes a year or so to start pulling in a good number. If you look at the history most shows that lasted more than 5 years had poor starts. By todays standards they would have been pulled based on low ratings.

other shows I liked that got pulled:
Firefly
The Adventures of Brisco County JR
Scrubs(yes I know it ran for a while but I did actually like the spin-off)
Jericho
Duck Factory(look it up you will be suprised who was in it)
The Tick
Greg the bunny
Great American Hero(old, corny but good)
News Radio(lasted 6 seasons but only cancelled because Phil Hartman died)
Maxheadroom
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy(it was a miniseries and not a sitcom but there were plans on making it one but the plans fell apart)
