C'mon people! Are you all stupid or what? Don't click fucking links in steam pm's. Tonight several BLiTZ members I thought were smart enough to know better weren't. They got this PM: (ANONYMOUS) ¦ вlϊтz: Did you see that about you wrote on the forum?http://forumsteamscommuniteys.tk/ : DD
I'm shocked) XDD Write your thoughts ..)
AND YOU CLICKED ON THE LINK????? WTF??? you been on the net long??
ANYWAY DON'T CLICK LINKS!!! Try and at least pretend you didn't get dropped on your head during birth.
DO NOT CLICK LINKS FROM ANYONE
Re: DO NOT CLICK LINKS FROM ANYONE
I'm sorry, I just assumed the bad grammar in the message meant it was from a real Blitz member. Plus lets face it, I'm a hot topic of discussion, its not unusual for people to make comments about a character such as myself. I'm not in the habit of clicking on strange links, but then again, I don't really get strange links sent to me very often by so-called "friends". Its rather disheartening to see the STEAM community sink so low. But like I said in the other post, now I'm goin' cannibal.

Re: DO NOT CLICK LINKS FROM ANYONE
I'm changing this post to an announcement, because it appears we are currently under attack by a hacker attempting to hijack our steam accounts.
The current msg being sent by this hijack virus/site is:
"Did you see that about you wrote on the forum?http://forumsteamscommuniteys.tk/ : DD I'm shocked) XDD Write your thoughts ..)"
But this could change to any kind of message. The format is usually the same, where it will try to get you to click on a url link, where you are promoted to enter your Steam Login information. Your account is now successfully hijacked.
Stay alert people, and please avoid such obvious fraudulent attempts to steal your personal information. You not only put yourself at risk, but the entire server's security has now been compromised.
Please report any such messages to me asap.

Re: DO NOT CLICK LINKS FROM ANYONE
I did click on the link, but when asked for username and password, I put in the wrong password, then promtly looked in the forums. Now somwhow without being hijacked all the people on my friends list have been sent the same message.
I know i was not hijacked because my steam account was not changed in any way, I had full control of my account after I closed the message, and I have changed my password for steam and the forums/sourcebans without any problems.
I had no idea that those messages were even sent out untill today, when Bulldog told me.
Sorry Whores
Some people really suck

Re: DO NOT CLICK LINKS FROM ANYONE
as far as i know at least 3 blitz guys had their shit jacked. I ah 3 messages from Canadian, madshoe and one other i cant recall all with the bogus link. I assume if the perpetrator is sending me links on their accounts then they are indeed in control of your account.
I actually went to the link to report it as a bogus site but firefox already warned me so.

UPDATE: STEAM ACCOUNT RECOVERED
I was able to regain control of my acccount after calling Valve in person. I wanted to let everyone know how deeply embarassed I am that I allowed my account to be hijacked. It was my fault. Hopefully, noone else was affected by my stupidity.
The Canadian and MadShoe (take note):
I recovered my account by calling Valve in person (425) 889-9642 (Google) and dialing random voice message box numbers until I found a human voice. I was then transferred to the Steam department where I was promised my account would be returned in short order (by the end of the evening). I received an email correcting the issue, and follow-up on my original Steam help ticket within 15 minutes. Incredible service (once you reach a human voice).
I wanted to post my success to document how I expediated the recovery of my Steam account. I feel extremely lucky I was able to do so and hope the rest of the team's accounts are secure.
Hope This Helps,
BulletFodder
