Ok, so I have a 19" square monitor and was wondering if it was worth upgrading to a widescreen. One question I have, does a widescreen show you more on the sides, your peripheral vision? Will I see more, or do I am I now seeing less than someone using a square monitor.

In higher end games do it if your video card outputs amazing resolutions
if you dont play higher end games then its pointless really other than "High Quality" videos out there being streamed....

I have a 19" square and a 26" widescreen HD. It was definitely surprising how much more you get into the game and all the movies you watch on it.
