Donation Time (Server Rent Due April 20th)

Hey guys, sorry I've been a little busy as of late as I just moved to a new place this month. I spent the last couple months searching for a new place, packing and of course moving. I'm just starting to get settled in at my new place and was starting to do some work on the server when I noticed we have under two weeks to make the next server payment on April 20th.

Here is a breakdown of the Server Fees for 6 more months:

Server Rent: $700
Website Rent: $60
HLStatsX: $30

Those are the basics, but other costs do come up, like last month we had to pay about $70 to renew our blitzdod.com domain, as we almost lost it. I also make regular donations to the sourcemod team, so that we can have access to the latest updates before they go public.

The good news is we still have a couple hundred left in the bank, so that's a good head start, but as of right now we don't have enough to make our rent, and if you would like to see our server continue for another 6months and you have some extra cash lying around I would seriously appreciate anything you can add to the pool.

So if we could collect around $500 that would be perfect, but it never hurts to have a little extra in the bank for unexpected costs.

If we could collect at least the server payment by April 20th, and then we could work on the rest after that. That would be acceptable.

Thanks guys/gals, I know we can do it again... Here is to hoping we can come together and keep this server running for at least another 6 months.

Issue with link on blitzdod.com page. Fill in the data, then it takes you to paypal page, but when you click "pay with paypal" instead of using credit card (default Canada), it tells you link is bad or something like that.

I will have to look into that, never had anyone complain about that one before. You can also make a donation by logging into your paypal account then send money to blitzdod@gmail.com.

Our server payment is always due the day before my payday. I get paid on the 21st so you will see something from me then. Hopefully we will get enough from everyone else but, if we come up short, I'll try and make up the difference. Keep us informed on our status so I know what I need to do then.

Made my payment, good thing I actually checked the forum today, did not realize payment was due until now. Is there an update on total? I could potentially give a little more if there is a shortfall, so wouldn't mind knowing

Thanks to everyone who donated, without your help our server couldn't survive and I can't express how much it means to me that you guys care enough to help me keep her going.

I am however a little disappointed with the number of people who donated. The numbers are way down. We had a huge drop off in the number of people who came forward to help, thank goodness that the smaller group of donators put in more. To Frostbite I would like to put a special thank you towards, because without his VERY generous donation we would not have even made it. I would almost say he single handily saved the server for 6 more months. Next time you see him, don't forget to say thank you.

Not to take anything away from the rest of the donators, as your contributions also greatly helped, and I just want to take a second to express how much motivation this gives me to keep going at this job. There have been times when I almost feel like it's over, but out of no where you guys remind me what it's all really about. And that above all is all I ask as payment for my services, that hope is still alive.

I would also like to remind everyone, that even though we met our goals for this donation drive, that there is always unknown/unexpected costs that always seem to pop-up out of no where, and that even if you couldn't get a donation in before the sever payment deadline. We could always use that little extra bit of help, as all left over funds go towards the next donation drive.
