For those having "os paged pool Mem low"

Post by Shakira »

Here is a fix that should help out

its registry issues and also virtual mem issues

this is deffinit for older systems

I did three things that seemed to resolve this issues for me.

First this registry fix.
http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/4468

THen this which was suggested by another user in another thread.
Right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Performanxe Options -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory Change -> Custom Size
Set initial size to 256 and maximum size to 2048.

Also I had an un-identified sounds controller in my device settings. I wasn't using the onboard sound controller but when I installed that driver the problem still appeared to be fixed.

I am not sure which one of the routes had the most impact and which one fixed it because I did all 3 things at once, but after doing it my problem went away.

Got this from here

It should help ya out Schulz hope it does ....

"0" is default value for the paged memory...

If you make a boot disk
or put it on usb and boot from that it should take you through a process..i believe
where you can run virus programs and maleware and recovery tools to get back lost files that have been moved or hidden (deleting them to recycle bin does not remove them from the hdd fully)

When I was having "low OS paged pool memory", the only thing that fixed the problem was adding more RAM to my system. Went from 1 gig to 2.5 gigs and all was well.
Prior to that, I had tried every solution offered by web advice. Nothing worked.

by default it is 1.5 times the physical RAM on your computer.

"0" is the default value for letting windows take over to set it itself....or am i wrong...

This might help with getting some of the files your wanting back
It seems that its just documents of taxes and pics and musik such types

But if they are system docs from the main OS folders and such then it might be more of a bitch to find themm

http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Used it on older laptop to see what was left on it and yup found most of the "deleted files"

YOU might even have hard drive issues with pagefile.....
Its a free program called HDtune checks health of your hard drive
install it run it and see if any issues arise from it, and if any do then its your hard drive causing some issues with pagefiles and paged pool mem....
And like Bulgarian has state Get MORE RAM....Seriously it is a life saver in these issues-if its a laptop then hell not hard to find right ram
if desktop i can help ya out
Just list the specs of your computer and bam ill find good and cheap ram for ya :)

http://www.hdtune.com/files/hdtune_255.exe

The reason youll want to run these is because you might have stability issues with your hardware....
