This is my computer sheet thing. I don't really know alot about this shit, I just made a computer that could run BF2:BC and COD4:MW2 at a decent clip. I never have any issues on DOD with pretty high settings either.

Image

Things I added:
Two 2 GB DDR2 Ram Chips
550watt PSU, so 12V / 404W / 18A
1 GB Geforce 9800gt
1 TB Seagate Harddrive
HP 24" Monitor, HP 15" Monitor

The best upgrade I've done was clean out the dust. GPU idles at 48-49C which is pretty cool I think.

I just ordered this about an hour ago from NewEgg...

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 Black/Blue ATX mid tower.

Power supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80 Plus Bronze certified Active PFC (go green!) Power supply calculators say I need only 430W so this 520w should be fine.

Motherboard: ASRock 870 Extreme2 AM3 AMD SATA USB 2.0 and 3.0 with Crossfire support, Japanese heavy-duty capacitors and one-button overclocking and core unlocking features.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black edition 3.2 GHz 80W (go green again!)

RAM: GeIL 4GB (2 X 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 16MB cache SATA 3.0

Optical drive: ASUS (OEM) Black 24X DVDRW

Video: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express HDCP with CrossFireX support

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64

I also ordered a keyboard (nothing fancy), a mouse pad, and some Arctic Silver to complete the build. I already have a decent monitor (unfortunately it's a CRT but it's flat screen) which I will use until I get money for a new one.

My Logitech MX518 mouse will still continue to work for me just fine.

Price: $719

Now I might have to change my name to "bmh- I die a little bit less than I used to".

No more playing on a four year old laptop! :D

It should be here by the end of this week. Keeping my fingers crossed that UPS doesn't have a gorilla delivering it.

I wish it was that easy. Nope, I picked out all of the parts for the build myself - and typing this message on it right now. Just waiting for Steam to d/l everything...

DDR3 is triple buffering. you need to get them in sets of 3 to get the best performance out of them.

It's OK. The performance difference didn't justify the price. This is just fine for what I'm doing with it and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than my laptop was.
