Yea Grimmy hate to tell ya but I think you got shafted bro. He should never have installed any new hardware without approval from you. I would Refuse to pay for the sound card as that was never discussed. I mean when you take your car in the mechanic says this needs to be replaced, do you want to replace it? They never just do the work without consent. This guy sounds like he prays on the computer illiterate. Almost any driver is able to be found with this thing we call the internet. Some may take longer to find but they are there. Hope it works out for you grimmy but, I'd never take your computer back to this guy.
