Dual HD 6950 flashed to 6970

Just curious what you guys think. Is it worth picking up 2 X HD 6950 and flashing them to HD 6970 or just buy 2 x HD6970. I am currently pricing a new machine and have to buy one part at a time.

Wait till the 7000 come out
no lie just wait plus if your going to be playing alot of bf3 when it hits along with new crysis 2 expansions and such like that then wait

Haven't decided if I'm going to go with nvidia or amd yet and haven't decided if I want to wait for the bulldozer chips to come out. I looking at either the i7-2600k or an amd bulldozer setup. If I do the amd bulldozer then I will go amd video card. If I do the i7 I duno what video card I will do.

you should wait even longer for bulldozer release
i think there is a new series of intel 8 core coming out tthat wil just smash
Amd is good graphics for price but overall i have been noticing that nvidia the way to go no joke specially if your board can support it
bulldozer is going to be nice but to bad this rig of mine is going to be sold to downgrade need extra cash and lighter load for travel
But go nvidia expensive ya but worth it 580 boom the shit

Oh another thing
If you go amd there is the 6990s coming shortly to there going to dominate but nvidia is best in terms of new games
there expensive though like hella expensive
im getting rid of the 5770s i have hopefully for just one 580gtx or 590 when the get released sometime

Cool I started as intel fand then went to amd and now been back on the intel banwagon.
As for video cards I became a nvidia fan due to some bac ati cards. I want to spend a bit more on the processor and motherboard so I was looking for a cheap solution. I could alway do 1 6950 and flash it to 6970. Only games I would be playing if I get a rig is DoD, and Battle Field 2 I have a buddy playing it. My macbook is slowly getting worse. I seem to be only to pull 35 15 fps now on dod. By the time I save enought money the bulldozer should be out and posible the Intel ivybridge.
Then again there probably be a whole new series of cards out too.
