Hey if you want to try something different in a WWII game, Origin released BF1942 as a free digital download until March 1:

Even if you don't have time to set up the game, sign up and add the game before that date it's yours for life.
Even better, get yourself a copy of Desert Combat which should run as a mod in BF 1942. Here everything to get you started on this awesome mod:

There are still some servers running it:

The only drawback is you have to deal with the Origin crap to register a user account for BF'1942. I still have my discs, but I haven't messed with it in years. I do miss that game!
