Every time the server changes to this map, about 5 minutes into the map my ping spikes to 300+ and my FPS drops to 5-10. If I reconnect it does it again in about 5 minutes of play. Anyone know why??? I can never play that map because of it... it's really strange.

Actually, it's started happening for every map now on that particular computer. I completely erased and re-installed the game and it still does it. It's a quad core AMD X4 with 6 gigs of ram and an Nvidia 9100 integrated video card, running vista. I upgraded the video drivers, and that didn't help, so I'm not sure where else to go with this. I've tried switching up the video setting and nothing makes a difference.
The game will just run fine for a while, then suddenly crash down to <10 fps and the ping will spike to 300+. That will last about 5 minutes then it will start running smoothly again. The odd thing is, if I close the game then start it up again, it doesn't clear the problem. The problem will last for about 5 minutes whether the game is running or not. It will run smoothly for about 10 minutes, then crash out. It's a strange constant cycle.
Now, if was just a ping problem, I would suspect some kind of connection problem or possibly an issue with the network card, but that shouldn't cause the FPS to drop... or could it?

Is it just for DoD or have you noticed it in any other games. Might try scanning for virus and think about doing a full reformat job. This might clear things up.

I ran a virus scan, and it comes up clean. Everything else I've run on the computer still works fine... but then again, I haven't tried anything as processor heavy or ping dependent like DOD on that machine.
