Here is how to make a bootable USB
Open in Admin command console
Type:
Diskpart
List disk
Review the information and make sure you are selecting the correct disk. below is an example.
Disk ### Status Size Free Dyn Gpt
-------- ------------- ------- ------- --- ---
Disk 0 Online 232 GB 0 B
Disk 1 Online 1924 MB 0 B
select disk 1
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format quick fs=fat32
assign
exit
if you need a copy of the disk I can burn on for you. just let me know what kind of a key you have.

Just to get it straight. you have a xp disk? you can boot from the XP disk to do an install. I am a little confused on what you are trying to do. Do you not have an optical drive?
Some laptops have a hidden share that has the installation on it. look up the manufacturer and see what the short cut key is during boot up. Most of the time it is F12 during boot up.
I am not sure what information is on that ISO. SP3? just the service pack or the full windows xp with sp3? you are very vague on the information you are giving us.
you can put all the files onto the bootable USB. Not the ISO. extract all the files on the ISO (you can use Magic ISO to do this). Or burn the ISO to a disk then you will have a xp disk. Once you boot up onto the USB then run the setup for windows.
You can also look for a PE like Barts PE or Learn how to build a Windows PE. I use barts PE because it has all the software I need. I have actually created a PE for the USB so it acts the same way.
I can help you out more if i knew exactly what you are doing and what you have to work with.

Im sorry for that
The iso files are the xp set up disk and has sp3 integrated into it
I have created a cd from the iso on a cd-rw and a dvd-rw
but no luck
its as though it will not boot because its missing the boot file or something of that sort
I set under my bios to boot first from cd rom
put the cd into the drive and it will not run the set up for it
it might be that the files are dead or maybe setting up the disk did not go right
I used poweriso to extract and used nero to burn the disks and still doesnt work
All in simple is to do a fresh install with this windows xp sp3 integrated iso file
i have done it before but not its just not working out

okay then you should be able to copy all the files onto your bootable USB that i showed you how to do and then when you boot up run the setup
that or some versions of burning software has an option to make the cd/dvd bootable. I know magic ISO has this option.
give those a try.
