In Tacoma we got about 2-3 inches. Not bad. Problem now is that the snow that melted form the other night is now ice and there is snow covering that. It will not get above 30 so it will not melt. Since this area is not equipped to deal with snow and ice it will wreak havoc for a couple days.

we've got sunshine with a 40% chance of rain today

Just a small dusting that I woke up to today. All the rain yesterday has become Ice on the roads though. I've got to go drive in that shit too. My Jeep has 4x4 so i'm good to go just have to watch out for all the other 2 wheel drive cars.

No snow today and it is colder than hell 19 this am 5 tomorrow. in portland ice 1/2 inch snow at the house

Wow...really? you think 4 wheel drive will help you on ice? That just means you will have all four tires spinning on ice instead of two.
I love listening to people out here who think that 4x4 will help. They usually end up in the ditch. I can drive better with a 2 wheel drive than most people here can with 4x4. Mostly because I lived in MN for 25 years. This is an every day accurance back home.

We were talking about snow ......not sunshine frostie!

And 4x4's get you going but then when you need to stop...and it's no help at all.

No snow today but clear -15c all day long in the Okanagan...

It's all about the downshifting for driving on Ice.

didn't get snow in steamboat while i was there (left at 2pm), but they were supposed to get dumped on last night through today...like at least a foot!
