Is that Squid alive ? or are the dead nerves just reacting to the hot fluid ?

Oh yeah, it's real.

I watched a show a long time ago where they were showing some people eating at a restaurant with a plate piled high with live octupus. They would use their chopsticks, pick up and put the head in their mouth. Now, the tentacles can't all fit right? Because these are big creatures, so they would have to use their hands to remove the tentacles which had suctioned themselves to their faces and put them in their mouth, one by one.

I wish I video....It wasn't gross, it was sorta crazy to watch. Like a car crash.

I saw on a show once where people would eat live octupi but in order to do so they'd have to eat them head first and then have the legs fold down in order to slide down their throat... weirdest shit

I like it but you have to cook it right. You have to tenderize it a bit before you cook it. Raw is just too rubbery.
